AIM OF THE PROJECT
1. Searching and defining the advantages/disadvantages of Social Media
2. Doing a research on what the Cultural Degeneration is and the reasons of it beside, improving a critical point of view,
3. Building up a Social awareness about our culture,
4. Helping teenagers and teachers adapt the Technology for their education and teaching by using online and web 2.0 tools in an effective way.
SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
Our project involves the age of 14 to 18.The project was started in September 2020 and finished in April 2021.Digital Era effects teenagers’point of view. Especially covid 19 days draw youngs into Social Media, it’s clear that event leads to some dangers, one of them is Cultural Degeneration.The aim of project is to focus on Social Media’s negative effects and build up public awareness.

We wanted to raise awareness about the behaviors we should have regarding online security, in order to prevent possible threats in cyberspace. So we online meetings with our students and they created Posters for THE EUROPEAN CYBER SECURITY MONTH via CANVA..
NOVEMBER
ACTIVITY ABOUT NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA
We created a collaborative informative work about Social Media to inform the students and refresh our knowledge and build up public awareness.We attracted attention on our main issue, negative effects of Social Media.
ı and my students made detailed research about this subject.We answered the questions on the LINOIT together by writing and adding pictures on Linoit.

ACTIVITY ABOUT CULTURAL DEGENERATION
We organized us in National Teams , we are 8 countries involved in the project so each country presented his work on the PADLET.We made detailed examination and answered these questions..
– What is Cultural Degeneration ? We have to do a research on this Social Media danger
– What are the negative effects of Social Media on our culture, on our society ?
My students reserched and voiced the information they learned via VOKI.We uploaded the video via VOKI on PADLET.

ACTIVITY OF WORLD HELLO DAY
World Hello Day, on November 21st, recognizes the role communication plays for preserving peace. The day also encourages world leaders to use communication rather than force to settle conflicts.So we celebrated this day by sharing World Hello Day with others…We complimented our partners sincerely . My student Rıdvan created Poster for the day via CANVA .
Also Teachers and students created collaborative video on the occasion of WORLD HELLO DAY Turkey, Romania, Poland, France, North Macedonia, Tunisia and
Albania kindly greeted us in their mother tongue.
ACTIVITY OF WORLD TOLERANCE DAY
We started celebrating the day by doing some tasks.Firstly our pupils made Wordcloud Activity and filled in words related to TOLERANCE via MENTIMETER.
Our pupils created collaboratively posters via CANVA for the day.
Also we wrote acrostic poem for the day via CANVA..
Also my student Ahmet Abdurrezzak created a poster via CANVA..
DECEMBER
ACTIVITY OF SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION
We organized 3 teams with 3 countries in each team. Turkey and Romania will be part of 2 teams, because from these countries there are more teachers get involved: from Turkey there are 8 teachers and from Romania there are 4 teachers.
In FORUM, at “Social Media Addiction task”, we found the teams and the questions and inserted links, posters or other materials related to our topic. We are in Team 1.Our Question is WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION?So my pupils made detailed research and they answered tis question on PADLET.
Also we created PUZZLE via LEARNINGAPPS related with Social Media Addiction..
Our pupils competed on KAHOOT about Social Media Addiction..
We made Certificates of Completion Social Media Addiction Kahoot for our students via CANVA and gave them.
Also Teachers and students created slogans about the addiction to social media in order to build up public awareness about this danger of our world.
SLOGAN CHALLANGE
In this activity each coordinator teacher with the students chose only one slogan for the competition and wrote it on GOOGLE DOCUMENTS..
My students voted it democratically..
My pupils created Posters and Quotes about Social Media Addiction and uploaded them on PADLET.
COMMON PRODUCT SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION
We created a cartoon video about Addiction to Social Media. We had an international character named Victoria. Each mentor teacher with one or two students of her team created one or more scenes with ANIMAKER.
We showed through Victoria’ s behaviour what means to be addicted to Social Media, the negative effects and also the ways of decreasing the excessive’s use of these platforms.

JANUARY
Activity of Cyberbullying
We organized in 3 teams with 4 countries in each team; due to a bigger number of teachers, Romania and Turkey are in 2 teams.In Forum, we presented our findings, we uploaded posters, images or insert links about this topic.
We are in Team 3.So my pupils made detailed examination and exhibited their works.
Also one of the students from each mentor teacher’s team wrote a Kahoot question in the forum related with Cyberbullying.we created a collaborative Cyberbullying KAHOOT.
My student Ahmet Abdurezzak wrote his question on FORUM
Our students contested on KAHOOT.
We gave them Certificates of Completion..
Also we created a collaborative video about CYBERBULLYING.Each mentor teacher chose only 2 students from her team and they created each of them a video via CHATTER PIX application telling a slogan.
We made a Video Animated Gifs collaboratively. So, each mentor teacher with one or two of her students prepared 2 gifs.

FEBRUARY
ACTIVITY OF ESAFETY
Each one of us wrote a single rule about ESAFETY on virtual board via SCRUMBLR.
ACTIVITY OF SAFER INTERNET DAY
On the occasion of SAFER INTERNET DAY, on 9th February, we created posters and slogans via CANVA.
We joined poster voting on the occasion of SAFER INTERNET DAY – 9 th of February. In Forum each mentor teacher or a student uploaded the posters chosen for this competition. Each partner voted for 3 posters.

MARCH
ACTIVITY OF MEDIA LITERACY AND DISINFORMATION
We worked on Media Literacy and Disinformation topic divided in 3 TRANSNATIONAL TEAMS, each team uploaded their work on team task in Forum.
We are in Team 1.My pupils made detailed research and shared their opinions on FORUM.
Then teachers of each transnational team prepared a slideshare collaborativelly about team topic with GENIALLY..

ONLINE EVENT ABOUT MEDIA LITERACY, FAKE NEWS AND DISINFORMATION
Let’s talk about Media Literacy, Fake News & Disinformation is an online event hosted by eTwinning project Social Media Cultural Degeneration teachers and students.We discussed about different subjects proposed this year by eTwinning such as : Media Literacy, Fake News, Disinformation, Misinformation and solutions to stop the spread of Fake News. We have created also a Padlet where teachers and students can write about the topic. 31.03.2021

Teachers and students worked on the project poem ” Social Media Cultural Degeneration” as a common work. We picked a letter and created a line.
APRIL
ACTIVITY OF DIGITAL FOOTPRINT
I gave information about Digital Footprint to my students and we had quiz about it.
COLLABORATIVE CALENDAR
We prepared a collaborative Calendar by choosing our students’ most important works during the entire project. We asked the opinions of our students while picking their works. CANVA is the tool chosen for doing this activity.Each mentor teacher chose a month.We chose OCTOBER month.

ACTIVITY OF EARTH DAY
On the occasion of Earth Day, 22 April, a PADLET was created in order to upload our works. We created Posters, Bookmarks, Wordclouds via CANVA and WORDART

Also Collaboratively we created ebook consisting of all the Posters throuhout the project via STORYJUMPER.I and other four teachers had this task for the project because we created a lot of posters throughout the project.
EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT
We evaluated the project writing in the LUCIDSPARK WHITEBOARD.We shared our opinions about the project.We told that we learnt a lot of Web2.0 tools and be aware of the negative effects of Social Media and it leads cultural degeneration.We made a lot of friends.
Also We(Teachers) had a final questionnaire for the project.
Our Students evaluated the project via TOONTASTIC..
They said that they are happy to be in this project..Firstly my students met with eTwinning with this project..They gained productive skills thanks to this project.They made good friends and gained self-confidence in this project.They told they are aware of the negative effects of Social Media and Cultural Degeneration.They learnt they must be careful about esafety and dijital footprint thanks to this project.

My students’ parents evaluated the project via TOONTASTIC.And we uploaded them on PADLET.Also guests(my colleagues in my school) evaluated it and wrote on Padlet her opinions about the project.
They said that project students benefitted from this project and they are happy to their sudents’ being in this project.They met eTwinning thanks to this project and they learnt various Web2.0 tools.They are aware of the social media’s negative effect and they must be careful esafety rules and dijital footprints.
