First one: PPP Method

  Presentation             practice

                                Production

The “Three Elements” approach -نهج- to language teaching is the most popular modern methodology  -منهجيّة- used by professional schools around the world. This method was established around the early 1990s.

Method steps

The PPP acronym  -اختصار- stands for Presentation, Practice and Production. Each letter means a stage of the learning process.

  1. In the presentation stage, which is the first

The teacher talks up to 75% of the time, presenting key information, in different ways, and prefers to use creative methods to communicate materials.

  2. The second stage is practice:

The teacher uses activities to practice the new language, by using various classroom exercises or activities, and the teacher at this stage must correct the mistakes that learners make, preferring that the activities are group, not individual.

  3. The last stage is production, in which the teacher observes but does not correct until the end, and the focus is on the fluency of the learner.

7

Plan a lesson according to this method: The first stage is presentation, where the teacher presents material in different ways.

The second stage is practice:

9

The last stage is production:

Write a short paragraph describing the school trip you were on, using the subject.

Strategy: K.W.L

****

An educational strategy in which the information the student knows about the topic is determined, then he writes what he wants to know from this topic through questions, and at the end he searches for answers to the questions that he previously set.

.

Its founding and development:
This method was established by Graham Dieterick in “1980”, after that this strategy was developed by the researcher “Ogle”, in 1986, at the National College of Education in America.

The advantages of this method:
This strategy has many advantages, the most important of these are:
a. It helps to comprehend the educational material.
B. Development of thinking skills.
C. It gives space for self-evaluation.

12

The steps for this method:
There are four steps to implementing this strategy, and they are:
a. Draw a table (K.W.L). Then the students write the information they already know, and the new information that they want to know.
B. The teacher asks students to ask questions that they want to answer during their study of the subject, and he records these questions on the board.
C. The teacher asks students to read the topic of the lesson
D. The teacher asks his students to write the information that they learned through the topic of the lesson, by answering the questions that they put in the table.
