About the teacher

I am a STEM (biology, chemistry, physics and general Science) teacher and educator at secondary school and high school for 18 years. It is my first year as a teacher in inclusive classes where kids with a special needs study together with kids who don’t have special needs.The solution was tested during general Science classes.  Two classes participated in the pilot (in each class there are two kids with special needs. The kids are 12-13 years olds and it is their first year at Secondary school. Due to lockdown, my teaching was hybrid (both face to face and remote teaching).

About the class

Two classes participated in the pilot. In one class there were students with a special needs as Anxiety disorders and dyslexia and in another class there were students with attention deficit disorder and  problems with communication. These students study together with kids who are without special needs.

D is a boy who has Anxiety and Communication disorder. He has a communication problems with his classmates. He prefers to work by himself and to sit by himself, far from other students.

Summary

The Key2enable solution helps me to integrate students with a special needs into an Inclusive class where they could study together with kids that without special needs.Although, it helps me to enreach my STEM lessons with great possibilities that software and hardware of the solution could provide me. On the one hand the solution is easy to use and on the other hand it garners student’s interest, so my STEM classes with the solutions were both interesting for me and for my students.
