The Hedgehog And His Spines

Once upon a time there was a hedgehog named Og.

Og moved to a new city called “New York”.  

With a new school, new friends and a new home. 

All the students looked at Og with a strange look and thought: Why are there spines on him?

Suddenly, the bell of the break rang and all the children ran to the playgarden. Og ran after them.

The kids played football together and they asked Og if he wanted to play with them.

Og was happy because they wanted to play with him, and said “Yes!”

Og joined the blue team and the game started!

A boy kicked to Og the ball from a big distance, 

Og was preparing to catch the ball but when the ball touched him, it exploded because of Og’s spines.

All the children looked at him and got mad.

The break ended and the lesson began.

Although he had to listen to the teacher talking in class,  Og ​​could not concentrate because he was only thinking about ways he could play football with his friends without his spines touching the ball.

Then, Og understood how to solve the problem and how he could play with his friends.

Og wanted the lesson to end quickly because he wanted to start making the thing that will help him.

When the teacher said that school is over, Og ran quickly to a craft store near the school, bought what he needed and ran home.
He started working hard on the thing that would help him, with the things he bought in the store.
He worked on creating his idea from noon to midnight.

When he finished, Og went to bed to sleep, but he could not fall asleep because of the excitement towards the game he would play with his friends the next day at school. 

In the morning Og came to school, and his friends asked him, ” What are you wearing?”

“Protective suit!”, Og said.

Og’s friends did not understand why he was wearing a protective suit, so he explained to them:

“I could not play football with you because of my spines so I bought things and with them I made a protective suit that would protect the ball from my spines!

Now the ball would not explode, and I can play with you!”

The kids loved the idea and played football with Og after school.
