Life on Mars is not simple, before moving to Mars we need to prepare it for us to live on it.
There are problems that need to be solved, this book will speak about how we can live on Mars.
The first problem we have is the energy:
Mars’s energy is low because of its’ distance from the sun.
The solar energy there is only 40% than the solar energy on Earth.
But even that low amount of energy is sometimes obscured because of giant sandstorms that can last for days.
Other energy sources are futile because of Mars’ low temperature and low atmosphere.
For now we can only bring nuclear fuel and its’ core from Earth.
Mars atmosphere’s density is only 1% of Earth’s and made mostly of carbon dioxide.
For now habitats need to be pressurized and fueled with an artificial atmosphere made of nitrogen and oxygen.
The radiation on Mars’ surface is times 50 than the radiation on Earth which can cause cancer.
To minimize the chances of that happening we will have to cover our habitats with frozen carbon dioxide and another layer of land.
Because the layers covering our habitats will not affect people outside of the habitats we will have to use robots to do the land work for us.
The dust on Mars is thin and because it’s thin it might get into our robot’s body and because it’s so dry it is electrostatically charged and will stick to anything it touches.
It’ll be a real pain if it sticks to a crew’s suit.
Getting water is not a problem if the habitats will be on one of Mars’ poles.
Unlike water getting food is hard, because plants that we will try to grow there won’t have the vital nitrogen compounds they need.
We will have to purify the land there using recycled biological waste.
Mars’ gravity is only 38% of Earth’s which will cause the crew problems that could be delayed a bit by constant exercising.
