and childhood memories.

I am from the river,

moonlight nights, from fields

and pastures and wildlife.

I am from Friday night cruising

and from prom dance stomping.

From means girls and stupid boys.

I am from happiness and pain.

I’m from a graduating class of 69,

where we all knew each other’s secrets.

From the basketball games, the senior pranks,

and the trips around town.

I am from Dixon, and I’m proud.
