The Characters

• Dr. Joshua “Josh”: a scientist and professor at the University of Chicago who designs the navigation system for Virgil and is assigned as head of the project.
• Dr. Conrad Zimsky: Earth specialist and designer of the Project.
• Rebecca “Beck”: An astronaut who distinguished herself during an emergency crash landing of the Space Shuttle Endeavour in Los Angeles, California, a result of the magnetic instability.
• Dr. Edward “Braz” Brazzelton:  The designer of Virgil and the ultrasonic lasers.
• Robert “Bob” Iverson: Major commander and mentor.
• Dr. Serge: Nuclear weapons specialist.
• Theodore Donald “Rat” : A computer hacker who is widely regarded as the best in the world, crippled the FBI’s database, recruited to control the flow of information on the Internet to prevent public panic.
• Thomas Purcell: U.S. Army, leader of the operation.
•  Dr. Talma “Stick”: Flight Commander, the mission controller for NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour and Virgil.

The Plot

The magnetic field surrounding the Earth suddenly stopped moving, which cause many disasters in many parts around the world like stopping the electricity everywhere,

5 scientists risk their life and decided to enter to the core of the Earth in order to try and make the magnetic field around the Earth start moving again. They try to set off nuclear bombs in the core of the Earth.

Ending

The bombs begin to detonate as planned, successfully restarting the core’s rotation.

Virgil breaks through the Earth’s crust 800 feet under the Pacific Ocean somewhere near Hawaii.

Inside Virgil, only Josh and Beck survive

Serge, Zimsky, Iverson, and Braz were died inside the earth.  At the end the 5 scientists were the heroes that succeeded to saved the world.

Which character did you like the most and why?

The character that I most like is Dr. Edward “Braz”,  The designer of Virgil and many ultrasonic lasers that helps people to cut big stones or mountains in high speed.

Braz doesn`t know that the machines that he discover is too helpful to the people in real life and it can save the world.

Braz join the scientists team and risk his life in order to fix the problem in the core of the earth.

Braz sacrificed his life to save Virgil, he dead while he was trying to fix a problem in the machine. He was the hero that puts all his power to save the world.
