Youth Baseball:
Baseball is a sport that almost every kid will play as they grow up. It is a sport that not only is enjoyable to play but also develops important motor skills and hand-eye coordination that are valuable as children grow older. There is a reason baseball is referred to as the “American Pass Time,” everyone loves baseball!
Youth Soccer:
Soccer is a high energy sport that is appreciated by many different cultures. While soccer is not as popular as some other sports in North America, it is easily one of the most loved and played sports in Central America and Europe. Soccer teaches great footwork in addition to being great cardio for kids to keep in shape!
Youth Football:
Even though baseball may be America’s pass time, there is little doubt that football is the most popular sport in America these days. Youth football has been a benefactor of that trend, with kids starting to play the sport earlier than ever before. Football is a wonderful way for youngsters to learn structure and work ethic. It is also one of the few sports where kids of all sizes truly have a place.
A growing concern with football is the risk of head injuries and concussions. Youth’s brains are still in a developing stage causing the risk to be more damaging if an injury occurs. There are two sides to the story though, as some say starting the kids early will mean better technique and understanding how to avoid injuries. Read more here.
Youth Volleyball:
Volleyball is primarily a girl’s sport at the youth level. It is one of the most watched women’s sports nationally and tends to be a great recreational sport for adults, both male and female. Volleyball has great lessons to teach about teamwork and paying attention to details.
Youth Basketball:
Basketball is a sport that requires skills that take quite some time to develop. It is the combination of many skills that kids may or may not have, all put together at once. Teamwork is a key component of basketball, along with the individual work ethic that must take place in practice, games, and at home working on skills. The great part about youth basketball is that drills are very easy for coaches to demonstrate for the kids, making the learning process that much smoother. Take a look at a training video showing just how easy it is for a coach to teach basketball skills to his players.
