Using Vacroo to teach English, speaking skills in EFL classes

We chose the digital tool Vacroo to teach EFL students to speak English. Vacroo is an online tool that allows users to record, send, and download voice messages. Teachers and learners can use Vocaroo in different activities, such as podcasting, digital storytelling, broadcasting, and giving feedback.

Vacroo has a few benefits in teaching EFL students learning skills to speak English. First, after recording themselves speaking English, the students can listen to their recording, hear where they were incorrect and could have done better, and practice speaking correctly. Secondly, Teachers can use this tool to keep track of the student’s process of developing the language. For example, they can send their students corrections via Vacroo after listening to the recordings of the students speaking English.

Although Vacroo has benefits for teachers to teach, and for students to learn how to speak English, it also has disadvantages. One disadvantage it has is that students can not develop skills of speaking with other peoples or in front of an audience. However, they can share the links of their recording with other students and respond to one another with Vacroo adio.
