So it cost her all the housework, while her two daughters were comfortable

 Until they learned from their selfishness, envy and hatred.

The animals:

Who were her friends, and they helped her with the housekeeping and cleaning 

except for the cat who was trying to kill her friends.

He met the Prince and Cinderella at a dance party and married her

because she was the owner of the lost shoes.
