Yesterday I spent the day with Ilan at Or Yehuda. I spoke to many teachers who are using the Ourboox platform.
Ilan and Lilach taught me something that I didn’t know. That is what teachers and other kind and caring individuals do!!
Until yesterday, I knew that you could convert powerpoint presentations into artwork for Ourboox.
But in the default slide presentations, the slides are rectangular and they get ‘squished’ in the conversion process.
Did you know that on the far right in the “design” setting you can change the dimensions of the slide. They taught me. Now you know too!!
So here is the explanation!!!
It turns out that in the design setting, there’s the possibility of changing the dimensions of the slides.
After you’ve completed your powerpoint presentation, taking advantage of all the possibilities they offer…
…you just save as “JPEG File Interchange Format”. A window will ask you whether you want to save all your slides (of course you do). Then an okay window opens. The next thing you know, you have a file with all of your slides as individual jpegs.
You can then use the individual jpegs as artwork (as I have done here).
You can make cool covers.
But remember that Google won’t read the text in your jpegs. I recommend adding live text (as I have done here).
So what are you waiting for?
