The Writing on the Wall – Graffiti in Athens

Wall art is so abundant now throughout Athens, I felt I had to do another book. Did the ancients anticipate graffiti? Go know. But you can tell from the picture opposite that writing on the wall sure has changed over the last 2,500 years.

In any case it’s another way of expressing individual opinion. And although it does cause some damage perhaps, one can look at it as a form of art that welcomes tourists and visitors. For one, I like it.
