Several years ago we had this crazy idea to make a giant wall of magnetic graffiti at HIT (the college where I work at).
We were just about to buy a ton of metal sheeting to cover the entire wall when Didi Cohen had a better idea. “Why not use magnetic paint?”, he asked.
We agreed. So Dubi Peleg, CEO of the college bought a ton of magnetic paint and Kobi applied five layers.
We bought a ton of surplus magnets, chopped them up, and then an amazing thing happened.
People started to use them.
Girls made pictures.
Guys made pictures.
Hagai Cohen made designs.
Little people had fun too.
People wrote their names on the wall. This is Henry (you might have guessed).
Eventually, the giant magnetic graffiti wall became a mess. It was full of graffiti.
So we had an idea.
We turned to one of our talented design students, Nofar Barkow.
Evgeny ordered a ton of beautifully-colored magnetic tiles.
She knew exactly what to do.
Nofar made BEAUTIFUL magnetic graffiti.
These pictures don’t last forever. Students come and move this magnet and that one. Before you know it, it’s a mess again.
And so Nofar comes back,
And makes a new one.
And then another.
